Councillor Ward 2

Keith Neal

I feel an incredible sense of gratitude for the opportunity to call the Black River–Matheson area home and for the past eleven years that I have called Matheson my home.

About forty years have passed since I wed Johanne, who worked as a registered practical nurse at Bingham Memorial Hospital. One of my three children went to school in this city, and two of them have held jobs in the surrounding area.

Over the past decade and a half, I've given my time to the Matheson Fire Department as a volunteer, and I can't express how much I value having the chance to collaborate with such fantastic people in this capacity.

In addition, I have been fortunate enough to serve as Pastor at the Evangel Family Church, where I have organised and lead celebrations for July 1st at the Arena, as well as free community sport camps and free Christmas Community feasts (drive-thru last year).

Since we now have a Cenotaph, I've also been given the opportunity to organise the Remembrance Day Service that is held here.

I have high hopes of being a member of a group of people that have a genuine desire to enhance the standard of living in all of the communities that are represented.

I have high hopes that I will be able to serve our Township in such a way that our efforts, our attitudes, and our deeds will be recognised and appreciated by the residents.
